HighOctane FragFest
Hello North & South American Players (and insomniac Euro players),
You are invited to an evening of serious Team Quaking.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EVENT: HighOctane FragFest
SERVER: DHF - 64.154.38.103:27960
DATE: Friday, 25 April
TIME: Event #1 CountDown Timer ===> 9:00 PM (21:00) EST.
TIME: Event #2 CountDown Timer ===> 11:00 PM (23:00) EST.
ABOUT:
- A multi-game type and multi-game config FragFest.
FEATURES:
- Four (4) game types to be played over a selection of 4 FT maps, 2 CTF maps, and 4 TDM maps.
- Five (5) game configurations that range from n00b to Pr0 (deexslds, hO, plus, e5r and m0ve).
- Neither CTF map will be normal CTF. Q3MRLCTF2 will be played under Return the Flag rules. BASTIR will be played under One Flag CTF rules.
- A total of ten (10) maps. Please note that Server downloads will be turned off during the FragFest so, please, please, please download the maps in advance. Most people will probably need to download pjw3dm2.pk3, q3mrlctf2.pk3, assault.pk3, and bastir.pk3. Links are provided for all the maps at the bottom of this announcement.
- Team Competition.
- Timelimit: Ten (10) minutes per map.
- Fraglimit: No Fraglimits.
- 1 minute warm-up / cool down between maps.
- Server kicks Specs after 2 minutes.
ATTENDANCE:
- Simply show up to Event #1 or Event #2. These will be first come first served events on DHF which is a 20 slot server.
WHY:
- There were a lot of complaints that there were not enough slots with previous events like the Map Event and the March Madness FragFest. By having two events in one night, more people will be able to participate and the time slots will appeal to people in different time zones.
If you can sit at the top of the scoreboard at the end of each map over the course of these game types and game configs then you are truly versatile at E+ and a Master of the Eternal Arena.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DHF (64.154.38.103:27960) allows maps and configs to be CallVoted. So, you are welcome to check out any of the maps or any of the configs at your convenience prior to the FragFest.

Return the Flag (RTF)
RTF is more difficult than regular Capture the Flag but it is also a better team game. The difference is that simple touching your flag will not automatically transport it back to your base as in regular CTF. You will have to carry your own flag back to your base if it was dropped somewhere in the map.
Be aware of double flag carriers, they can be your best friends but also your worst enemies.
One Flag CTF (1FCTF)
In 1FCTF, you have to pickup the Neutral Flag (White Flag) in the middle of a map and try to get to the enemy's base to score a point.
Don't forget that it's the enemy's base and therefore well protected! You may stand a better chance of winning if most of your team goes on offense.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You will not need to download most of these maps but the links are provided for all nonetheless.
Q3DM12.pk3 - This map is part of Q3. There is no download.
