how long is take depends about registry and proces/drivers runing at startup

with some registry tweaking u can do it lower that 20sec

i'm not good about registry settings and wont make any changes witout instruction...
any way, how u guys make your machine run with good performance, my pc is getting slower, i tryed different things to speed up my pc.
i use this help http://www.grafica-link.com/byte/99XP.htm#benchmarks and after my pc was faster but now is again lazy bastard...

kill all unneccesary startup programs.. almost all of them u dont need..
Use a registry cleaner program, the small ones are often the best ones.. remove all unneseccary installed programs u dont use anymore.. if u do this i think this will help u with 10 - 20 seconds or so on.. is it long time since u reinstalled your system, and formated your harddrive??

it is about 8 mounths since format an yes i did all u said, on startup i got just 5 programs and all i dont need i delete it even from program files the drives are defragmented often and it is free from viruses

A few ways to get Windows to boot faster:
1. Disable any floppydrives in your BIOS
2. Soundscheme -> No sounds

well im benchmark mine PC

now its intel 530J @ 3.75GHz 2xMaxtor 120 and 160 GB working in RAID 0, RAM 2x512MB

withnout eny registry tweaking or clearing its takes 25 sec to load windows

I Always Use This Tool For Cleaning Up My Registry, Provides An Easy Way To Check How Much Shit Is In The Startup List...Use It With Caution.

33 sec to boot WinXP Pro SP2 (35-40 processes loades on boot).

Intel 640, enough of RAM, SATA disks only, no raid.
To control the bootload i use msconfig and HijackThis.
Disbled floppy, raidcontroller and the windows soundschemes.

Have not yet tried the regclener.exe ...
