how u do hold a mice?
exactly v4 for me at G9Laser / but OMFG! i see the gallery of cutted out dead hands
v3
This was a very interesting thread. It made me think about it for a few moments. I'm usually somewhere between V3, V4 and the S1 - which is Skull's grip style. I have a very loose grip on the mouse with my fingers relaxed mostly, much of my mouse movement originating above the wrist and in the forearm, into the elbow. This is what happens when your sens is around 50cm per 180 degree turn I guess I do notice that my snap-rail shots are all wrist, however, and that's why I have slight accel (0.0067) in my cfg. It makes a huge difference in snap shots and circle-jumps, but only a slight benefit in strafejumps.
I think my grip method goes back to iaijutsu and kendo training, where in the first school I studied I was taught to hold the sword loosely and with a relaxed grip. A stiff and rigid hand isn't flexible, it causes more nerve damage to yourself when using a sword with such a grip, and I believe this is also true of using a mouse.
If your grip is panicky and tight you're going to have less mouse control because of slight, jittery movements. Good sensors pick up the slightest change in position.
Interestingly enough this philosophy even crosses over to driving a car, which I noticed tonight. Calm, cool and collected is the way to go
ur results fala?

A mix between Skullheads and V3.
V3 for me also.
couldn’t really decide, I played years using v3, but for some months I am playing using v2 method
some mices forces u to use a different mice hold style otherwise they are really uncomfortable, like salmosa can't be hold v3 at all, or ikari optical can't be hold v1
to play on all these mices i got I was forced to change holding style depending on the mouse, all styles have their pros and cons, as I am low sensitivity player I use palm style because I work by hand a lot and I need to have decent grip, although as many noticed for web browsing claw grip is good enough and more relaxed, I use to browse web a claw grip also
on most mices the v2 style gives more comfort, and hand laying in more neutral way, but holding mice by only one finger on the right gives less sure grip than holding the mice by 2 fingers on the right, while most mices seems to be uncomfortable to place on them 2 fingers on the right side
so there u need to decide u want more comfort over mouse or more control. For high sensitivity players it might not be as that important but for players that prefer low sensitivity it is a question they going to repeat themselves over and over again
I am addicted to life.
