Hi! Recently I've had some problems connecting to password protected servers - Getting the standard password is invalid even though the password is correct. Sometimes it works to restart q3, but recently nothing worked.

Any1 have some suggestions for troubleshooting?

restarting q3 and connecting via spider should always work imo, its some server sided bug, mostly occurs on unity root.

ahh i remember it was when Laktos couldnt join to our FW Sad

btw q3 restart and reboot didnt helped, but Terror offered to RENAME and it helped.

make sure you dont have any passwords set in all your cfg's,
the baseq3 cfg, e+ dir cfg and any auto executable cfg's.

Ye, this problems always happen to me, but only at unity and 2s servers (its same root i think), but i can easly connect when loading my old config, then i can load new after connecting, so seems its some cfg problem.

Generally it always work if you go to "mods" in menu, load "Quake ]|[ Arena" and then connect.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

When i got ping timeout and have to disconnect, i cant connect to unity or 2s server, also gives the same invalid password message, tried it many ways and it works the way foks wrote it so its np, otherwise restarting 10 times wont help.

true, connecting by spider the e+ mod doesn't start automatically...
it 1st run q3cfg on baseq3 folder, then it switch on q3config located on e+folder

the prob. u have to connect on unity and 2S servers should be in your baseq3 cfg

agree, clear passwords and ammke read only onfigs
