maybe you know there are a lot of cloisters in russia
and there are quite a lot of lost and desolated

at the end of august me and my friend went to the journey to the forests for searchin in one of them.

we found
here a few photos

last settlement that has railroad:

it is already deep in province. here we got the map and startded the search.

the last good road between villages.

about after 10 kms the asphalt was over and dust begun instead

a village

other village

NW, great trip and photos, I used to search for similar stuff. I was especially interested in old forgotten jewish cemeteries.

now the cloister is being visited by natives of near villages.
lucky we met such people and they had a car and they offered to give a lift.

the trip in it (or on, we were sitting outside) was like a riding mad bull

now there is a priest in cloister. he comes there every summer and hopes to make some repair. he is the one who does it.

some destructions (destroyed cupola on http://heap.sunnyroof.ru/ReconPhotos/IMG_024.jpg and others) are made by fascist shells.

the cloister is located in forests between Moscow and St-Peterburg.
we got to near town by hitchhike )
on last photo we are backing to moscow in minibus

i'm glad you enjoy it ) that was a very very great trip
