Keyboard is driving me nuts!
For some reason, I hold down run, try to move left or right and nothing happens = blown to bits.
Keys I use, if relevant are W, A, S & D.
It's an intermittent fault and only seems to happen when servers are busy.
I have a wireless keyboard and mouse, they are both fine on other games, both have fresh batteries. But the problem remains with the keyboard.
As you can see... I've typed this with the same keyboard and all is good.
Am pretty new to Quake 3 and am not sure what is causing this. Has anyone got any ideas?
can you do 1 action at a time?
ie: Just run
Just strift left, etc?
if so i take it it's only when you do multiple actions?
oh also what brand keyboard and OS?
I have a wireless keyboard and mouse
i have nothing against wireless equipment, as i had a g7 for quite a while and loved it, but, if you are using some cheap wireless stuff, it may as well go straight in the bin, cos its a load of rubbish...i would only invest into wireless mice that have li-ion batteries, that are fast & free to replace...but as for a keyboard, maybe you have a really bad one that doesnt allow for many simultaneous keypresses...i would never have a wireless keyboard, theres no need for one, i mean with a mouse its different cause it has to move about and the wire can become quite annoying, but keyboards stay in one place all the time, there clearly isnt a need for wireless...it just adds unnecessary delays...

and one more !
That could be linked to FPS drops... If it is, then good luck with fixing it.
If I hold down run it stops and startsl.
Runs for 2 seconds, stops, runs again.
