But this IS breaking the copyright by HQ, its exactly the same as me taking "Fear of the dark" by Iron Maiden, changing the song title into "Fear of the DARK" (and nothing else) and claim its a new song because i sing about EVOL.DARK in it.

Unfortunatly HQ cant call in a multimillion company to defend his copyright, but he can call the community to ridicule the copycats every chance they get.

I will answer that call.

I voted that it is lame, but can't really forbid it.. On the other hand, writing K as |< is not *that* unique outside of this community. And it is a 2 letter clanname. Different colors. In this case I think there are too many things that are the same but if you look at how clannames evolved it is bound to happen.

I mean, would anyone say anything about a clan with brackets around name just because mr uses them?

other styles is *NewClan*NickName, NewClan|NickName

All those styles are "accepted" as standard clan nick models but someone had to make them first and there are just so many ways to create the actual model. Not everyone wants to have brackets or stars around their clan name. Only way to be unique with these brackets or stars is color/font schemes or nickname rules (like Viking had) And KA actually has their own colorscheme. If [mr.] or {GenX} had argued with other clans for using brackets but other colors ({F.R.V}, {D.R.T}, [GS]) how would we be allowed to type our clannames today? We can't all be unique when it comes to the model, all we can do is find something else that is unique (Like color, or name). EVOL for example, nice idea, 2 colors, have to be used in nickname in a special manner. I don't think they would argue if anyone else used Capital fonts in 2 colors as long as they don't use Red/White? (Or too similar like EVIL.NEWPLAYER with white exchanged for yellow or something like that)

All in all I think that |<[] has been unique with their style for very long already and that some day it WILL happen that someone uses their "model" for a clan name and that is not too much to say about it.

On the other hand they (KA) should have found maybe another "model" when the clan names are so similar because they *are* too similar imo. If you want to use an already used model, be unique with name + colors in combination with that model.

Yeah, if you want to use the same "model" you should have a name that is not so close.

It's not the same tho is it? First, they have a different name (Fear of the Dirk?), different rules (new lyrics?) and members (Different arrangement?)

I would call it a bad cover if you wanna compare it to the music business Or like when bands take parts of a well known song and change it just a TIIIIINYYY bit (Queen vs Vanilla ICE anyone? lol). On the boundries of breaking copyright rules

He man somebody eg. beginers can think its one clan or connect with ko. We DONT WANT it becouse we buld ko pure image in 2 years. We dont have any blemish on image. Like U said "The TAG is really really similar, in fact i thought was KO in red letters" so U have answert, why.
