Lachesis on Eplus!
Hi,i change my mouse (one month ago) G5 to razer lachesis...
And i have many problems, but i take solution for: no good sens and crapy sensations. But one problem make me crazy,if i put my old cfg (g5 setup) i have lot of left clik do not clik and no switch correctly. And i type In_mouse -1 and in_restart...i lose my mouse 4 button i test to remake my cfg-> no change! But only on eplus i have this prob all games no prob!(ut3,cod4,quake4)
maybe lachesis make conflict with quake 3??
PS:i test all tips on razer.com forum!
Thanks! And sorry for my crapy english!
it's mouse report rate, I had this problem with g5 before... put it to 500 or below(I have 333)
i got that mouse cant say its that good though..
still getting the auto shoot bug even though ive made in_mouse -1.
cant really be fucked sorting it out.
ill be using my old comp for a little bit now anyways
.
Rather take deathadder than lachesis. Id also give salmosa a try (and i probably will,soon..)
Looks like known problems with lachesis. Try update firmware. First revisions of this mouse had the very first firmware, which coused loosing tracking on qck+ for instance, and also coused clicks not working properly. I believe after updating firmware to newest these problems should disappear.
If you did it earlier, maybe change pad. Laser mice are known of loosing track on some pads, like material ones. Though I read lachesis is best of all laser mice, so dunno.
Well from what ive read about those mices ppl favorize deathadder over lachesis. Popular argument was that sensor is simply better solved. Revisions of mice changed since then,so new versions of lachesis may have a better sensor. But for what it offers over deathadder the higher price doesnt justify it.
A firmware update could help, but imo the biggest problem with that Razer stuff (only a opinion that based on my experience with Razer EQ) is the Quality. My first Razer was the Copperhead...cable break after a half Year.
After that i changed to the Microsoft/Razer Habu...after 4 months the "button 1" got broken (back to the shop again to get a new Habu and to buy that nice looking Lycosa keyboard). After 2 weeks, the coating of the Lycosa's A and D buttons got loose and the Habu died a short time later with a cable break. So,once again back to the shop and changed the Lycosa to a G15 and the Habu to a G9.No problems anymore since that. The only Razer stuff that works fine and left over is the "Mantis Control" Pad (cause it have no mechanical Parts ).
And btw...i solved that "button 4 and 5" problem for me with assign Keystroke's to them and binding the desired action to that keys (dont know if that help's you)
Best Regards
i got the lachesis about 9 months ago, i use in_mouse -1 which solved the problem with it thinking that left click in always depressed. i have updated the firmware from v1.0 to what ever the next release was. i know there is 1.75 release available but i am not going to upgrade yet. the latest release only fixes the bug of the pc not always recognising the mouse plugged in on bootup. not worth upgrading to that firmware because it means my settings wil be lost and for now i can just unplug the mouse and plug it back in when the problem occurs.. i have not experienced any other problems with the mouse. it took me months to get used to the sens from being an opticle user to beign a laser one. i think the mouse is designed for newer games than quake 3. because of in_mouse -1 having to be set users are resticted to 3 buttons instead of 9, i dont think this will be fixed. anyway i have adjusted to be a 3 btuton user aswell now  the feel of the mouse is nice imo. i just need a biger mat now. i am currently using a cotton material mouse mat . although i dnot experience any tracking issues with it. i did experience a tracking issue when i swapped to a foam mat. i got rid of that now though. i hope to upgrade to a better mat soon. but i think steel will be way to sensative. untill 2 days ago i was using 875dpi i am now using 4000 and a very low sens. i seem to be able to aim a lot more fine now but i am not sure if this helps. i might lower a little.
Beh simple:for crapy sens i've got solutions.
_upgrade usb rate to 1000hz.
_make profile with firmware.
_and delete razer drivers.Profile are saved in memory mouse!
Now sens is nice and very good sensations!
But button4 don't work again!(all tips i make on first day ,G5 user)
I think the lastest driver of lachesis make bugg with quake3,many people got this problem! But cut razer procesus and delete drivers make nice solution!
Now i think maybe it's a conflict with my G15 keyboard?? Or just because lachesis got 9 macro buttons?
One good effect my gameplay change for minimal switch
Thanks!
