Hi all,

I would like to

search for help maybe someone can help me as this drived me crazy and also my

friends that dont know how to help me with this lag...

When I play I

experiment some lag .. Each minute i have lag during 6-7 seconds..it makes me angry when i play .. i can't resolve it.

my

internet speed is: 1.51 Mb

My comands to internet are: rate

25000, snaps 40, cl_maxpackets 125

Im runing Windows XP sp3

I have alowed

firewall the quake game...

also delated whole quake and isntaled again didnt helped, i played with onother

cfgs also didnt help...i dont know what more can i do.........pls if some one

can help i will be very happy as is very difficult to play with lags...

what about cl_maxpackets 63 ? for me 125 lags but 63 not Happy

cl_packetdup 0,1,2,3 ,4 or 5

try those Confused

it may not be the connection problem....

What is your computer hardware specification?
Can you observe during lag , did you have hard drive activity?
What is CPU usage at that moment?
Did you leave open browser during a game? The flash plugin can use very much of your CPU.

To check connection : open console, and execute a ping to the server you play. During lag , leave quake and look for ping statistics. High pings or lost packets - problems with connection.
