a man is downstairs in the cellar.
a lamp is upstairs the house.
in the cellar there 3 switches one of it turn the lamp upstairs on.
the man cvant see the lamp of his pov.
how he can find out witch switch turns the light on with just one time going up?

Oh wait, i think i understand now. He goes up, and takes the lamp with him, and then presses each switch one by one, thus finding out which turns it on. Unless it's welded o.O Meh.

1. he get's someone else to check out the top floor
2. he checks where the wireing goes and therefor can conclude which one it is
3. he takes a wild guess with the left switch and if it is not it he got 50% chance next time
4. he puts a timer on the switches when they can go on within a few seconds
5. if 1 lamp turns on in cellar then theres 50% chance for the others to work, so he turns on one of them and if it is not that one it has to be the last.

or he could do just this

5. if he is in cellar there should be a electricitybox with fuses and maybe a meter for electricityuse. turn 1 switch on and see if it generates more electricity
