Linux server set up
How do i put e+ on a linux server? is it even possible?
I got configs and stuff for my server but its linux based
>> but its linux based
Man I'm not a Microsoft hater but a server means Linux already if you look for availability, stability, security and performance etc..
So there is nothing more natural than having an e+ Linux server ; )
First set up Q3 on your machine: copy that huge 450+MB pak0.pk3 file in a directory(d1)/baseq3 you created, and then download 1.32 release, copy to d1 and run it. Now you have baseq3. Update PB and copy e+ files and thats it.
[If you dont have Linux Q3 CD and it's not sold around, which is hily probable, you mite easily download it via p2p, e2dk network preferably]
For server configs and further info Im pretty sure Nihil or some other guy will help you out

what are you talking about, dude?
try this
rasus:~# sh ./linuxq3apoint-1.32b-3.x86.run --help
with q3cd he just meant that you need pak0.pk3 no matter from where (cd/p2p)
dont try to make fools from people or i'll past here our private irc talks ;}

even i am able to do this, and i have basicly no idea of linux, ask manouche or nithil, buahha
I'm using Fedora Core 4 with Quake 3/4 and for excessive plus to run on linux, all u gotta do is download the .zip file for excessive plus 1.03 , and then copy all the files from it into a file which u have to make
like this:
mkdir -p /usr/local/games/quake3/excessiveplus/
then open the zip files and start moving the .txt , .pk3 files to excessive plus !
its easy

lol u are going on against me like ur mates ? i thought we talked good with each other but ok .... just post our irc talks feel free too do, there u could just see my questions about your port-change-script and this questions are more then needable too use it (is it compiled with gcc or smth. that u need too know by c++ things, but i dont guess u have written this thing by your own otherwise u know with what u have compiled, cause a .c thing u cant start in this way u said
and xvnc is a vnc server/viewer for linux roots where u have small visual linux ground where u can work with it ..... but i dont think that u know that. ppl who writes own programms should know all details of it and not only the half .....
