Hello to all Winking

Well i have a little problem

I have 1.5mb DSL Connection
When I connect in q3 i have terible ping 350-400 i think
But on lagometar is 999 .
Settings in cfg are

com_maxfps 125
cl_maxpacket.. 125
snaps 40
rate 25000

Dont know what to do Chatterbox , i want to play q3 again but this shit ...
I was format PC , no firewall , restarting rooter , but nothing , same again ..

kostur it's ur provider, don't think is ur pc or cfg.

start->run->ping -n 20 88.191.25.53:16000
(random *FFF* server)
if possible try to ping directly from ur gateway/router.

try 3-4 servers and websites..only for test and call your provider, something wrong happened in central of ur city or in a collection point.

i hope they solve the prob soon.. cu on arena Winking

try to ping to google.com and some big portal in your country.

And try tracert command. For example "tracert google.com"

In CS i have normal ping 20-30

q3 uses different packet type - UDP. Try to connect to some server with turned off firewall (?)

You cant use 125 maxpackets if your upload is too low.

If serbian providers are anything like cro ones, you have 128kbit - 256kbit upload.

reduce maxpackets to 63, make sure packetdup is 0, and try rate 15000.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

Da, bas sam ti isto htio reci...ja imam maxpackets 125 inace, ali kad smo prije ja i buraz (dok je on jos igrao Q3) znali skupa doci na neki server preko naseg dsl-a, meni bi ping skocio na 999, cim bi on dosao na server, sve dok ne bih smanjio maxpakete na oko 75-85. I onda sve bude ok. Vjerojatno imas slican problem zbog nasih "preludih" balkanskih upload brzina.

In english, in short: Reduce maxpackets to 75-85 and it should work fine.
