because every1 is older and older and have less and less time. If youre older, youre changing your life priorities. If youre visiting work, fitness, pub with friends and much time you spend with family/gf, not much free time lefts to play q3. I play few times per month. when i was younger i played few times per day. I think i wont be long time there too

true... and quake isn't getting any younger, so really low amount of young players come into quake... death is unavoidable, unless...(1.4 :roll: )

AGREE ! Thats why i told that 
... free time its the big Problem ... i will try to do my best to play but as soon as i will not have free times in my RL i will quit !!

well imo beer server had his reasons 
to stop existing ...
btw why is everyone crying there are other good server around at freeze but u dont know because u never played on it..
its the same issue like mr freeze server and 2!.... mr was the best server around back then till 2! bumped up... german server, germans better pings as well as other players.... so every1 started playing on 2! and mr got forgotten.... but i can tell u best players were still on mr playing
anyway beer.freezer might be online again sometime... but till then play on other servrers...they arent posted for free there...some1 took the initiative and rent it to let people play... so
give it a try to unity to mbm freeze or whatever these called now!
EDIT:
U know mow's server... he always tried to reduce lag as much as possible and had good latency for every1 ... its like 2! but called unity!!
