map downloading

when i download a map off of the e+ spider i put it in my excessiveplus folder. but when i go into game to play on that map, it says "couldnt load map......". the maps i autodownload in quake work fine and i put the maps in the exact same folder as those ones. why wont they work? here's a screenshot of the folder.

you must put it in yor Baseq3 folder.

ok but when i auto-download the maps, they appear in my e+ folder. Thinking:

first of all dont use bmp Happy

put them in baseq3, and you have to restart quake for them to work. you cant minimize quake, dload map and then get back and play.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

dont think so, all tmps etc appaer in baseq3 folder by me.

hmm didnt tested it but theory:
if the server has it in e+ folder u will download to e+ folder.
if the server has it in baseq3 folder u will download to bq3 folder.
dont know if this is right, but anyways put them into bq3 folder and they should work.

autodownloading is shit. turn it off. Bacause autodwnld will dwnld shits into your q3 (for examples lowexplosions etc) and you can be kicked from clear servers with PB on

autodownloading = evil

ive never put a map in my e+ folder
i wouldnt see the point as for there arent any e+ specific maps right?
