Microphone echo problem
Hi. For some reason I get an echo, a really BAD echo when I am trying to use a microphone. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
I have a Santa Cruz soundcard, Logitech Precision gaming headset,
make the line-in volumen lower...
Mute it in play control so you cant hear it, but select it in recording so they can hear it.
Mine is on microphone, if yours isn't move the checks to the correct boxes
It probably is. You can test it even with things as simple as sound recorder. Also turn off the 20db mic boost and stuff like that.
Maybe you have speakers connected and there's where the echo and feedback come from, cause I never heard of feedback while using headset.
which *should* mean that the echo for him is on his side since all others dont hear it
ah yes, the typical "man you have a problem" when its actualy "man i have a problem" situation
point the guy to this thread and make him read through
Ok, I had what seems like the same problem, when ever I would use the 'test' on any of the sound programs I had I would get a really bad echo, but when I used it in game other people couldn't hear an echo, so it was basically just when I used voice playback to test my mic that it echoed.
turn ur stereo mix volume in recording control down to minimum. that sometimes helps.
I did that, the echo gets better, but the volume is so low noone can hear me..
