sure, big disadvantage of lcd monitors is physical limited resolution. So every LCD monitor has own default (ideal) resolution. So your has 1600x1200. If you will use this resolution, every point which your graphic card made is displayed by every point on monitor. But if you will want to use 1024x768, graphic card will make screen in lower count of points than your monitor has and pixels are recounted for stretch to fullscreen. There is no 1:1 and result which you see on monitor isnt so sharp how is needed. CRT has no physicaly made screen, its based similary like projector so every resolution on CRT monitor is still sharp.

Second one problem is ,that if youre using higher resolution, you must change your sensitivity up too. Because youre moving your mouse cursor in the same, but bigger area so you need more real centimeters for move cursor from left to right in higher resolution than in lower.

solution: use quake in resolution 1600x1200 and set higher sensitivity (maybe +0.5)

change sens in windows. In q3 resolution doest have influence to sensitivity.

any reason?
cuz i also have to agree on flex, changing resolution doesnt effect the sens

anyways giving any values is quite senseless beazt, cuz sens depends on mouse and yaw and pitch
so on some mices +0.5 is a lot and on other mices +0.5 is nothing (for example with my ballmouse and yaw and pitch 0.0011 is et sense to 24.5 if i remember right).

did u test it? cuz i did. from res 640x480 to 1024x768 and atlas to 2048x1536
and in every option i needed to 27 cm to make full turn. Smug

yes, i bought bigger monitor before cca 4 months and i used higher resolution and i had to increase mouse sens. btw sensitivity in game depending on windows sens settings. Iam using default yaw and pitch.

hehe, now you are against yourself. you wrote that higher resolution dont affect mouse sensitivity and now you writing about change windows sensitivity Big grin But... For example me. I still using crt monitor for many reasons... And iam using in quake the same resolution like on smaller and older monitor (1024x768) and higher in windows (2560x960). So iam using still the same sensitivity in quake and still sensitivity in win, because i like precise mouse move in win for work and the same sensitivity for quake. btw every winows version has still the same sensitivity system. Dont forget that you can easily change windows sensitivity via regedit

btw2 dont forget to difference between razer drivers and logitech drivers. This two different drivers can work absolutly different Big grin
