my opinion on weapon spam
Like any other online community E+ has several different classes of participants. First are the well-meaning but ill-informed newcomers who make weird (or at worst, annoying) topics in the forums in an attempt to make themselves known without actually playing the damn game. Then there are the regulars who play often, frequent the forums but don't keep up with all the social drama because they don't really care for it.
There are two elite classes of participants who you never see on-server. One class makes snarky-ass comments about how much everyone else sucks, but you never see them on-server because they get pwnd most of the time and use fakenicks constantly. The other class could make these comments because they pwn just about everyone, but they don't. They only participate in worthwhile threads because, ehm, they have real lives apart from games and online communities.
Of course then there's people like Alex K... and he just defies explanation. I don't want to think about that, I'd rather contemplate the pi/3.14 thread.
$$$$$$$$$$$. (just for the benefit of people unlucky enough not to have made my acquaintance, i fall into the category of someone who cant play for shit but likes to critique every one else, someone who has no life other than on the net, and finally someone whos just plain crazy. and stupid. and noobish. and .. ah i think i should stop now. )
ps: o. i didnt c shadys comment.
Dude man, why is everything not good enough for ya? Rob was just expressing how he feels... I'd rather read 4 pages of this kind of "useless spam" opinions, than read antother one of your "lol @ you noobs cos Im a CPM player, im just here to higlight your insignificance" type of opinion...
umm first off. the fact that i play cpm has nothing to do with anything. quite frankly, and ive said this a gazillion times (atleast i think i have), i suck at cpma. not surprising since ive only been playing cpm for about four months. and i suck at e+ inspite of playing it for six months. hopefully that kinda clarifies things.
as i said above. tbh the value of what i say is independant of how skilled i am at a game. unless of course u ignore what people say just cos they dont practice what they preach. which is ur privilege.
i do agree. lately ive been acting pretty bitchy. i guess its cos im getting bored. . but u have to agree i have a point. the whole spamming in e+ topic is stale and dead. everybody knows everything there is to know about it. thats all i was trying to say.
its quite funny that whenever i criticize anything at all(which is pretty much all the time), people always bring up the whole cpm thing.
o and btw psy. it would help if u told me just precisely when i (presumably he meant me by "wan ko") whined. i suppose thinking that ALL my critical posts make good points would be self-serving fantasy, but i dont think ive ever whined just for the hell of it. not much atleast.
haha. sorry mate. entire topic got side tracked. no i wasnt saying anything about spamming. as i said ive talked about spamming in e+ on countless other threads. (btw however u define spamming, theres little doubt e+ is "more" spammy than most other mods or fps games). ive talked about it so much people have automatically branded me as an e+ hater and a cpm lover, who views all e+'ers as noobs. . wonder y i keep playing e+ then. must be my inherent need to satisfy my superiority complex huh?
Wonko, the first ever, full-fledged, pimped up, official E+ malcontent slash malicious ankle-kicking stalker aggriever ;d
And i dont agree that everything was said about spam on these boards.
Spam is a canned precooked meat product made by the Hormel Foods Corporation. The labeled ingredients in the variety of Spam are chopped pork shoulder meat with ham meat added, salt, water, sugar, and sodium nitrite. It has gained a peculiar infamy, along with something of a place in pop culture, and has even entered into folklore and urban legend.Other varieties of Spam include Low-Salt Spam, Spam Lite (containing pork and chicken), and Spam Oven Roasted Turkey - the latter is a halaal food, meaning that it is allowed under Islamic law, and is especially popular in Muslim markets.
Spam is produced in (among other places) Austin, Minnesota, USA (also known as Spam Town USA). In 2002, the six billionth can of Spam was sold.
Name origin
Introduced on July 5, 1937, the name "Spam" was chosen in the 1930s when the product, whose original name was far less memorable (Hormel Spiced Ham), began to lose market share. The name was chosen from multiple entries in a naming contest. A Hormel official once stated that the original meaning of the name spam was "Shoulder of Pork and hAM". According to writer Marguerite Patten in Spam – The Cookbook, the name was suggested by Kenneth Daigneau, an actor and the brother of a Hormel vice president. The current official explanation is that the name is a syllabic abbreviation of "SPiced hAM", and that the originator was given a $100 prize for coming up with the name.
Many jocular backronyms have been devised, such as "Something Posing As Meat"
According to Hormel's trademark guidelines, Spam should be spelled with all capital letters and treated as an adjective, as in the phrase SPAM luncheon meat. As with many other trademarks, such as Xerox or Kleenex, people often refer to similar meat products as "spam". Regardless, in practice, "Spam" is generally spelled and used as a proper noun.
International usage
As of 2003, Spam is sold in 41 countries worldwide. The largest consumers of Spam after the United States are the United Kingdom and South Korea.
In the United States, the residents of the state of Hawaii and the territories of Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) consume the most Spam per capita. On average, each person on Guam consumes 16 tins of spam each year and the numbers at least equal this in the CNMI. Guam, Hawaii, and Saipan, the CNMI's principal island, have the only McDonald's restaurants that feature Spam on the menu. One popular Spam dish in Hawaii is Spam musubi, in which cooked Spam is combined with rice and nori seaweed and classified as onigiri.
Spam was introduced into these areas, in addition to other islands in the Pacific such as Okinawa and the Philippine Islands, because of U.S. military occupation. Surpluses of Spam made their way into native diets. Consequently, Spam is unique part of the history and effects of U.S. empire-building in the Pacific.
World War II saw the largest use of Spam, since fresh meat was difficult to get to the soldiers on the front. GIs started eating Spam for breakfast, lunch and supper. Some soldiers referred to Spam as 'ham that didn't pass its physical' and 'meatloaf without basic training.
In these locales, varieties of spam unavailable in other markets are sold. These include honey spam, spam with bacon, and hot and spicy spam.
In the CNMI, lawyers from Hormel have threatened legal action against the local press for running articles decrying the ill-effects of high Spam consumption on the health of the local population.
In the United Kingdom Spam is a popular addition to the menu of fish and chip shops, where slices are battered and deep-fried and are known as 'Spam fritters'. It gained popularity in the 1940s during World War II, during the Lend-Lease Act. One nickname for England was 'Spamland.
In Okinawa, Spam has become very popular for much the same reason as in Hawaii. Spam is even used in traditional Okinawan dish Chanpurū, and there is also a Spam burger sold by local fast food chain Jef.
In China, Spam is also a rather popular food item, being served as a sort of Western cuisine. It is used in sandwiches.
In Greece, Spam is often called "Godzilla" or "Godzilla meat" by army conscripts, the characterism humorously implying an "unknown origin" with regards to the ingredients.
In South Korea, Spam is popular in households as accompaniments to rice. A television ad claimed that it is the most tasty when consumed with white rice and Gim (nori or black seaweed used for some type of handrolls). It is also a popular ingredient for Boodaechigae, a spicy broth with different types of preserved meat.
Spam celebrations
Spam-eating contest at Spamarama in Austin, TexasSpam is celebrated in a small local festival in Austin, Minnesota, where Hormel corporate headquarters are located. The event, known as Spam Jam, is a carnival-type celebration which coincides with local Fourth of July festivities, featuring parades and fireworks which often relate to the popular luncheon meat. Austin is also home to the Spam Museum, and the plant that produces the Spam for most of North America and Europe.
The Spam Jam is not to be confused with Spamarama, which is a yearly festival held on April Fool's Day in Austin, Texas. The theme of Spamarama is gentle parody of Spam, rather than straightforward celebration: the event at the heart of the festival is a Spam cook-off that originated as a challenge to produce an appetizing recipe for the meat. The festival includes light sporting activities and numerous Christian musical acts, in addition to the cook-off.
There.
@Chorb.
Why is this thread pointless -
1). People who whine about people spamming dont give a shit about people that whine about them whining.
2). There have been at least a few other ones like that one. Guess what? People who whine about spam are still here. Oh teh noes, it's not teh workeing. :geek:
Why are you wrong -
1). Because you call people who constantly switch weapons "retards". They only do what the config/mod/game/server allows them to. They utilize the tools and means of destruction given to them. They're not the retards, the retards are either:
a). Creator of the config used on the server and that servers host.
. You.
The a). is obvious - they allowed for it. But i dont agree with it. If you dont like what the server config allows for, dont play on that server. There is enough different configs around to satisfy everyone's preference in gameplay. Now, i'd agree with . Why? Because you slam whiners, and at the same time are whining yourself. Bah, you're even being offensive towards completely innocent people! That makes you an ignorant hypocrite.
But of course, i dont really mean any of it, i'm just bored. ;d
To end, i'll quote yourself:
don't cry like a bitch.
:}
oh, and about in-game whiners, i just ignore them. i'd recommend that to everyone.
its quite funny that whenever i criticize anything at all(which is pretty much all the time), people always bring up the whole cpm thing.
You should take it as a compliment, it means there's not much more to criticise

hahaha i can't believe i caused an arguement over this that doesn't even involve me. best way to solve it i think, is to ask all those who responded "against" my opinion if they have ever called someone a spammer. if not, then why are you in this thread with nothing to refute my points? my initial post in this thread is only aimed at those who have ever called me a spammer when i kill them so many times. it wasn't targeted for anyone else. i was hoping for an opposite opinion that may bring some new light to mine. (because i don't like being stubborn, when i find out i'm wrong i embrace it in order to be right). so please people stop the aimless arguing unless you are all going to tell me how i'm wrong. i didn't want to cause anything like this.
