easy. create your .cfg which contains only one line of text which basically is

[code:1]seta "<yournamegoeshere>"[/code:1]

and then just type this in your q3config

[code:1]bind <key> exec <thenameofyournamecfg>[/code:1]

or simply drop your q3 console and type this

[code:1]/bind <key> exec <thenameofyournamecfg>[/code:1]

only what you can find in the qname tool which you have in your excessiveplus/tools folders mate Happy

found another way to get qname in game for people who have name maker. save a name from name maker into your baseQ3 file. open the cfg file for the name you made in name maker with a word program. copy the script from qname into the cfg in between the quote marks. then you just have to exec the name into the game. it may not work the first time. it might show up as question marks for the special characters, but just keep repasting into the script and it will work eventually. i use his method cuz i cant figure out the seta name, exec thing. y0u can get name maker at planetquake.net

could be coz you have an abnormally long name Tongue

but i'm not sure, maybe if thats not the case then add an extra space

i forgot the word i was looking for so "space" will have to do Tongue

Theres a maximum number of letters that will fit. So if you exceed it, your nick will be truncated.
