q3 dosent act exacly as that but it is realy usful stuf
if u will experiment a bit with internet q3 values and u measue badwich wich they are taking u quickly notice it make jumps and betwen these jumps are totaly none of changes
cl_maxpackets
30(1.9kb/s), 40(2.3kb/s), 58(3.2kb/s), 111(4.5kb/s), 125(9kb/s)
its yors upstream badwich taken, note that below these values it still will be taking exacly the same amount of badwich
i am also belive syncing snaps to these numbers or with packets in ratio 1/1 1/2 or 1/3 gives good results
also after talking with nihil about cl_timenudget im convinced using negative value may but not must make u harder to hit, lagging guy using negative value in mine eyes will be harder to hit, it means that nudge inself will not make u laggy but if u r laggy or have pack loss it will elevate that more
