New gaming issues after updates
Hi, i'm forced to write here because i would like to play plusN from time to time, but the problems started since new release and new plusN.
Before update:
e+2.1: problems were "Click -> Shot that passes through the enemy body -> My death" & "Fire from 3-4 weapons in front both standing firm and no kill".
But wanna know the truth? Now i miss this! why? 'cuz at least I supported myself on constant 30 frags and over per match, and i had more control of my actions(i've 100screenshot only to say..)
e+2.2x: wow finally! ok good work, but.. the feelings are strange, so i hope to explain in a way you can understand me.
Some tests:
I made some tests @era dm17 and i've noticed that:
1st time: aiming fast without having the enemy 100% on crosshair and shoting = frags, i thought wow no more fire through, more accurate hitbox or dunno; 2nd time: same shots and no kill and 3-4-5 rails straight on enemy like when aim on a folder on your desktop and open it.
Test with plusC @ aim freeze: i'm not used to play on this cfg, but i know it and after update yes, it has some problems, but i felt it smooter than plusN. And now the so loved/hated plusN: what i do with it? just 12 frags if i've luck. When i see problems in fraggin i start to use more brain, so i move think and i try to anticipate the enemy, especially if it's a 98ms vs 30-50ms, this time without good results.
Now the point:
- when enemy is in front of me and i know i have the time to react(I don't care if i'll kill him or not), while i react i'm already dead, and the feeling is like to watch myself die without the chance to make the move i wanted to do and that i really do with mouse and weapon, but ouch! actions are locked seconds before the fixed spectating window appears(as happens in every death), and while this happens i hear a so far enemy noise, and a far & silenced rail; this silenced sound @ same time confuse me because i don't understand if who shot me was in front or behind. I remember when a player was up the bridge in dm6 with rail, i was under and with rail i didn't heard any sound of him(rail/model/switch) falling down and killing me, i was surprised! One other thing is that weapons dont't shot when weapon cycle is free, that means i finish to shot with 1 weapon, i switch to other, i wait and wait, uhm.. wait, wait, click click nothing, so i open console and type \kill and somebody can confirm !
If somebody can help me with these issues would be nice, i'm not an expert, but i play since 3 years and i know enough to feel the differences. I personally suppose that something is wrong in new release or in plusN 2.4 because in 2.1 the game was more easy and smooth. Now the game requires too much effort and attention and i can't "overclock" myself 2 times .
Note: there is a feeling on me to restore dok clan or join again IS if they want me ofc , but in front of this unexpected wall and thinkin cws are playied in those confs, i would be an useless leader/player, and next step is that i can only get out from here. I only hope to find a final solution.

The only thing i added in my cfg after read update topic are:
xp_ambient 0
xp_modelJump 1 ( dunno what it does, mb hitbox doesn't move in delay during a jump, boh..? )
xp_enemySound <- nothing.
What i don't know is if plusN 2.4 is a porting for 2.2b or a totally different thing from v2.3 for 2.1.
Seriously, i have no problems with aiming, i play same shitty as always and i defer between 15 and 50 frags a round, depends on who is on server. 2 days ago i had mirc and laktos as opponents and i did throw my mouse against screen since they annoyed me so much.
and remember, it is unlagged. U dont need to foreaim or whatever.
You can try "cg_smoothclients 1 or 0", you can enable/disable delagedweapons and look what is better for you.
2.2b is by far smoother than older versions, so actually all ur previous problems should be solved.
Oh, and it is not about config.
xp_delagWeapons - Bitmask: 1- Machinegun; 2 - Shotgun; 4 - Lightning; 8 - Railgun
Try 0 or 15
cg_projectileNudge - Optimises weapon projectiles for highpingers (/cg_projectileNudge <your ping>)
This could also help you.
Also, would you kindly post the one or other demo of your gameplay to check if u r right.

com_maxfps 125 cl_maxpackets 125 snaps 30

Use 0, gives more response answer to your gameplay. And that is as far as I can see, what you want, rite?

about the noob thing, you base results upon ping difference which is not really mattering as much as you think.
try ql with ping 100
try adding fries to that

Are you really sure that the mousewheel is still bound to these actions when you are in-game? You should verify this with "/bindlist" in the console. I have got the mousewheel bound to 2 weapons and it's still working after the recent update.

About cg_projectileNudge i didn't know that the value it accept was the ping, so i'll do some tests for sure.
I have in mind to make some demos, so i'll make it (i should use a camera that poin my screen and hand moving/clicking too tbh ); after test cg_projectileNudge.
