New Server?

Im going to make my own server but need answers from community.
My plan is a BEER, AIM+ like Freeze server, hosted in Hungary with
50+ Mbit foreign connection. I can ask a trial period so we will see
if several country players how lags there. Big grin It can be for really
low price for me but dont want to waste time and pay for nothing.
Many servers are empty many topic created about that.
So what do you think? May I create another one or forget it.
We can do fragfest there too! Big grin Please post suggestions here.

If you want your server to be popular with always at least few peoples on it, you need to use one of tricks to show it on in-game browser (not spider etc..)

Few examples can be found here: http://www.camel.excessiveplus.net/plus/files.php

Theres also article about it there and example server files to download and nice rotation info that say, 'next map is: blabla'.

Of course to use that you need shell access to your machine, for iptables you need root access.

there are so many servers qxy, we dont need another one.
UNLESS! You are going to offer something new, exciting, different.

Theres never too much servers Reno, for example I dont play on beer freezer and if aim freeze will gone then there will be only beer around or theres not much tdm servers with plus cfg only aim tdm or rs tdm sometimes that are playable with nice ppls on it.

So this is good that someone can offer our new nice public server.

There should be 10 freezes, 10 tdm & 10 ffa servers around always with many ppls on it, then peoples can pick one of them and play or choose another, cuz there are always same servers that is booring a little.

Now the server has Test Run period and can be accessed by simple type
/connect netexpert.hu in console or use spider. Happy

OK, the server name is: NeXT.FReeZE Big grin

Now has same rotation (except one map change) as BEER.

So if you want to play and BEER is full (all time xD) try this one.

I think I can run the server about 2 weeks for no cost. Cool

After that, we will see...
