Okay so I'm trying to setup an E+ server.

I have all the basics working.

except one thing,

I can't get the weapons to fire at normal speed. I opened various .cfg files looking for some kind of weapon speed attribute. No luck.

So if anyone can throw me a bone here, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Okay actually.....change that.

I loaded the .cgf maker program. Plus I read through the manual.

I seriously can't find the specific comman line for slowing down the weapon speed.

I thought it was cycle, so I've been messing around with that, but no matter what value I put in there, everything still fires like a machine gun.

Are you really sure you are loading the custom config you are editing and not a different one? The server config is made up of two .cfgs, one that loads the server and one that contains all the weapon parameters. If you create a new weapon config (which would be in the "conf" subdirectory), this has to be adjusted in the server config (which would be in the "excessiveplus" directory).

I read the server messages, and it looks like it's loading the correct config.

For some reason though everything is firing like a Machine gun.

I cranked up the Cycle property. But nothing has changed.

I am baffled.

sounds like the cfg is going back to loading default.cfg maybe an error in setting which cfg to load

this is how i load mine

seta xp_config "conf/newgods"

or

an error on one or more lines in weapons cfg eg brackets missing or invalid command added.

Attach your config here, and we will check it out. Attach all configs you are using (server, weapon...).

Youll have to zip them first.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!
