No Excessive Plus Excessive weapons fire...

Hello all!

I just did a new full install of Q3A and eXcessive Plus and the weirdest thing is going on. All the score boards

and sound effects work but it acts like regular Q3A. By that I mean when I hit the mouse button...I get one

rocket at a time instead of a constant stream...the machine gun is not acting like minigun on roids etc... I don't

understand it all. No "Excessive Overkill"...but very nice and precise scoreboards.

Any sugggestions on what I should do to fix this?

E+ 2.0a default cfg is baseq3 based so you need to       /load conf/(configname) and then put it in youre cfg /xp_config (configname) try that

I am afraid that didn't work. I really wish I knew how to fix this....I have missed playing this mod terribly.

Did you mean for me to copy the config file from the baseq3 folder into the Xp folder? Or do I need to add a line to my q3config.cfg file in my D:\QuakeIIIArena\  folder?

I don't really understand what you mean.

this is what i mean and then write in console /xp_config (excessive1/2/3/4/5) so it loads as default in youre cfg and btw, choose excessive1 excessive2 etc. not 1/2/3/4/5  Winking

try to join a public server so you can test the full mod at its own potential.

Thanks for the greets guys!

Unfortunately I still don't understand what he's trying to tell me. I think he wants me to put something in my q3config.cfg file in my baseq3 folder but still do not understand him...

hey,

ok a simple way.

Suppose you wanna use plusc config, download it and place it in excessiveplus/conf folder

so you have something like :

excessiveplus/conf/baseq3.cfg
excessiveplus/conf/default.cfg
excessiveplus/conf/excessive1.cfg
excessiveplus/conf/excessive2.cfg
excessiveplus/conf/excessive3.cfg
excessiveplus/conf/excessive4.cfg
excessiveplus/conf/excessive5.cfg
...
excessiveplus/conf/plusc.cfg
...

  • run the game
  • choose mod : excessiveplus
  • type in console : /map q3dm1
  • then : /load conf/plusc
  • replace plusc with watever conf you want Happy
...

Wanna avoid seeying mow, skull & co Surprise

whats not to understand about it ? Surprise
look @ the attachment type in youre console  /load conf/excessive1 or /load conf/excessive2 or /load conf/excessive3 or /load conf/excessive4 or /load conf/excessive5 depending what excessive overkill you want

then write in the console /xp_config excessive1 or /xp_config excessive2 or /xp_config excessive3 or /xp_config excessive4 or /xp_config excessive5 depending what excessive overkill you want 
so it will load as youre default single player config.
