No Response From Master Server

I have been trying to get my computer to be able to connect to a server and i constantly get No Response From Master Server. This problem started when i moved back home and everything else on the comp works fine....but Quake will not connect...

Any suggestions would be helpful

running a firewall or something like zonealarm?
i had that problem

try pinging the master server as well.

if it works, quake is being blocked. if not, you have some DNS issues.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

=[ not working so far...have to check out DNS for issues

network

you have one comp connections to the internet or more comps
q3 don't see lan servers over the internet
