For the millions Zidane is paid and for the responsibility he had towards his team, I don't care if the other player insulted him. I'll agree that the Italians were provocative and dived lamely as during their match against Germany, but that's a dishonor they must live with themselves. I expect a player representing his national team and country to act like one. Zidane's red card was fair. Too bad to see a hero go down like that, but what's fair is fair. Not getting a red cad for that would have been a scandal and destroyed the integrity of the referees and the FIFA commitee. I must say, however, that I respect him for staying true to himself.
