Hey all!

I get kicked by PB for : API corrupt/missing
if i run quake as administrator i get a service abnormality kick..

I tried to get a screenshot, but i get nothing xD

I also ran under win 98 and win xp compatibility , got the same kick.
I'm running on Vista sp1 32bit

If anyone could help that would be great!

thanks, Oxide!

p.s. if i run windowed i actually don't get kicked, maybe gfx?

well.. I just started running Vista 64 and I had a similar issue. It turns out, that PB doesn't really like when you switch between windowed or fullscreen. I would imagine it has something to do with the way vista changes themes to accommodate the programs, I don't really know. So I just make sure I start Q3 fullscreen. Or I don't switch between fs/windowed in game anymore. But anyway, that may be your problem. Big grin

Ok, here's the solution for anyone having such a problem:

If your Quake PB isn't working with windows xp service pack 3 compatibility and if your firewall isn't enabled, just make sure you aren't running Quake "as an administrator". I know, that's totally senseless but it's working.

Checked at Windows 7 64-bit.
