ok
i manage to run q3 and movie (tvout) at the same time but is it possible to separate sounds that the movie sounds go to speakers and q3 sounds go to headphones?

nope not under windows ...
maybe some freak can configurate that under linux.

problem is that u cant run 2 soundcards at the same time under windows.
and u cant say q3 use this card or the other. or different output types

Use a Y splitter and plug it into your audio out then you can send signal to tv and headphones, cheap stuff no more than 1.5usd for that.

Its posible on windows but only with Intel high definiton audio (azalia) sound standart. C-Media CMI9880 has options to choose eg. on read out u can heard dvd player and on fornt out mp3.

What? I've had multiple soundcards in my pc plenty of times. Even works with a soundcard and onboard sound.

i got onboard sound and i can plug in the HP on 2 ways in my pc (front and back)

jea to run 2 cards is right .... but u cant split he signal ... both cards (one card too) gave always the same signal out.

It's simple enough. Set one card as the default output in control panel and your Q3 sound will come through that. Use Winamp to play your video, and in the plugin settings, choose the 2nd card as the output.

And yes, it does work, because I've had 2 copies of Winamp open in the past, both playing to separate soundcards.
