My turn
and some more
i have problem uploading mine as they are all at between 3 and 5 mb (or up to 15mb in RAW) so i have to resize and that always seems to reduce sharpness/quality for some reason, (compression is not used, just pixel resize) i use PSP 7 for editing and i find it a good package but resizing is problematic.. i have Photoshop CS3 extended but am not sure on its function for resizing (i dont know how with it) anyone got any suggestions or can tell me how to do it?
i am getting more into photography and am really interested in wildlife/nature photography, i cannot for some reason take landscape pictures, i just cant get it right. here is one looking down to where i live on the somerset levels,to put in perspective, the hill you see in the backdrop is 110 mtrs.
maybe - try using filter->unsharp mask after downsizing. Should help a bit.
For landscape my advices are more less - good wide angle lens with polarization filter (makes colors more staturated (especially sky), decreases overbrighted shines, use high shutter value (f8.0+), adjust white balance accordingly to the weather and light conditions (AWB doesnt works sometimes 2 well).
@pan: nice photos Lukas
btw more my photos from sardegna you can see on my web: http://beazt.net/index.php?pg=photogallery&sec=Sardinie%202008
that first froggy looks nice, i do prefer nature photography, is it a pet frog you have?
thanks for the advice pan, the trouble at the moment is i am torn between getting a nice macro lens or something that is more functional for landscaping and distance work. i think for my interests the macro lens will take it at the moment using standard EFS 18-55mm.
everyday i learn more about using my camera and i am still a noob learning is great fun though.
no isnt a pet frog
and this pic was made with efs 18-55 and canon eos 400d but this lens sux i look in moment for better one but the prices are horrible
and i have to learn to take the full quality of those camera but my time are a bit less
