Photoshop
Hey dudes and ladys,
I need your help...Can someone of you tell me how i can change the resolution of pictures in Photoshop?
And I also would like to know if it's possible to do .gif pictures with photos of the resolution 1024x768.. is that working? or do I need to make the photos smaller to let it work?
Image -> Image Size -> write what pixel dimension you want -> OK
As for save as gif dont really remember, search in "save a copy", "export to" or if you using newer version of PS export to Image Ready and then Save as GIF. Cheers.

more less as kris said - but - sometimes when u have an image in diffrent proportion - for example 1024x1024 u wont be able to change it into 1024x768 - without getting disortion - then use rectangular marquee tool - and change its mode to fixed size -> (in tool options bar) + specify desired value. Then click with marquee on the image - move the selection as u want - and then - image->crop - u will get cropped image with the dimension u want.
btw. to be exact 1024x768 is not resolution, in fact its dimension. Resolution is for example 72 dpi, 300 dpi and so on ... thou most of ppl use the wrong name
When it comes to gif - as Kris said - save as and in dropdown list choose gif - or file -> save for web - in list choose gif. But I'm not sure what for would u need gif - its crap.
thx! your teh best
