yeap there is on major trick.

photoshop help + illustrator help + watching sites like deviantart, digart, bakalie + trying everything by yourself

I would also recomend my favourite book about designing - D-Workshop by Robin Williams.

tutorials sux - u can do everything without them. Idea comes first, then use patience and tools (pen/brushes and paper, tablet, software, digital camera, scanner or whatever u want) to obtain a desired effect Winking
