Well, all spiders might look like copies of the original one because they are 100% based on it, but >< spider has just one of its sources as the original spider. We also use lots of queries and caching to display some other servers or server info.

For example, we give users the possibility to have favorite servers. These servers will be queried live and the information will be 100% fresh, not from 5-10-100 minutes ago. Secondly, we use a querying technique that is 300% faster than the usual query you will find on the internet because I use an algorithm that stops the connection at a specific point, when it's got all the info it requires.

So, to put it all together. In my browser I use about 4 sources to display servers: e+ server database, 10-20 udp connections to quake servers, a connection to MySQL database + cache information.

Even with all this said, I still think >< browser sucks. Why? Because I almost finished work at the new browser, that's really a lot better and hopefully a lot faster.

And we all have to thank the e+ guys for giving us access to the server database. Without that database, our spiders would be a lot slower or not even exist at all. They are the ones we should give the most credit to, even though the e+ spider those not have all the fancy options we can think of.
