The issue you
posted in post 16 seems to be caused by the fact you downloaded PB from
evenbalance which no longer supports quake 3. Its expected that most
users will think that they must get the most updated software for their
games to work. However quake 3 is a very old game and has its own set of
legacy software you must use with it. I suggest you remove anything to
do with newer PB software on your PC and only use the version jabs
posted.

I understand. But I don't want use personalized files of other users. It can
be easily edited or corrupted. I want files from original sources.
Therefore I need know latest supported PB for quake 3. Which from these is it: 3.7, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4 ?
I have tried and installed all. None worked for me. Just normal
installation does not work. Something other needs to be done too. What is it ?

Users, we share their PB folders, had to install it normally for the first
time too ! It didn't work from nothing. First user, who made it work,
had to do it normal way. I need to do it this normal way. It's most correct way and the least fallible way.
Please tell me how

I said 3.4 just pure instalation didn't work at me. But you say it does work, so 3.4 might be latest quake 3 supported version. Ok we got at least something !
Now we have to figure, what is that 'thing' which makes it work for real on your and others pcs.

dude, i think u wanna waste time, waste urs, don't waste ours.

Quake 3 was game of my youth. It has special place in my heart. I still feel need to play it.
But before it, I need to install it correctly. Correctly, means as it should be with official files and procedures. I don't want user generated files of punkbuster. It's anti cheat tool. It's not handcrafted basket on village market.

Instead of flaming me, why don't think about what needs to be done, to make it work with official installation files + something secret. What can be that 'something' ?
