Polish President Lech Kaczynski 'in plane crash'
wrote:wrote:shocked news... but why this fucking europe (at least bbc) again thinks that it's russian fault? They say that because one of the possible reasons for the crash was the ill-equipped landing site, with no tracking system and several hundred meters short of strip. Weather conditions and the plane itself (infamous for a horrible track record of crashes) would be the other.
It's a huge shock. As Fala said, the repercussions will be far-reaching, after all, one of the two leading political parties just got decimated, we lost the president, military leaders, and many important figureheads. What comes after is months of turmoil...
And it is our fault that your president decided to land on old military airport which is used only for military helicopters? He can land in Minsk f.e. and go by train. It would take 2 hours more but would be more safe.
And I said it cause 1st "plane crush" was written in quotation marks. Even than there was no details they already suspected russian but not pilot's fault or probs with plane. And bbc already shown that there are morons in it which think by their ass. But ppl like to believe in anything that they've read.
Some people don't just think it's russia's fault, some believe russia planned it ( government or other institutions ) - far fetched I know, they think it's partially because of the ground/air missiles that US want's to put there. ( Far fetched I know, still allot of people believe that )
This is very sad what happend today, and it is hard to believe it
btw found interesting fact
In august 2008 polish president was flying to Georgia on meeting with georgian president. But weather in Tbilisi was really bad and pilot decided to land in Azerbaijan from there they went to Georgia by car. Lech was against it and after it said that pilot would be punished. Dunno if it was the same pilot that time but looks like no, cause old pilot didn't risk to land in Tbilisi where airport is better than in Smolensk.
Wouldn't surprise me if something like this played into it, culture and hierarchy in cockpit are known to play a part in aircrashes. Questioning your superiors is rare, pushing to keep the timetable instead of taking a less risky route, etc.
All that said, conspiracy theories are bound to start now. Since political assasinations have been carried out like this in the past and a few crashes are still "unexplained". Sikorski,
Hammarskjöld. And then we had all those airliner jets downed by SAM's and interceptors during the cold war....
probably they crashed during their 3rd or 4th approach to the airport, so it means they tried to land too much. according to specialists, after 2 attempts of landing the plane usually goes to another airport. but they kept on landing despite the heavy foggy conditions and lack of special technical equipment on the airport in Smolensk which helps the pilots with landing in the fog. the crew was offered to land in 2 other airports, but they refused and decided to land in Smolensk. probably they were running out of time and if they landed on other airport, they wouldnt be on time in Katyn. this is what i hear on polish tv.
nobody blames Russians. and what is surprising, nobody disputes about polish reporters who werent allowed to get into the scene shortly after the crash. the notes they took during interviews with witnesses were taken away from them as well as the pics. it was only said that it happened to the reporters and thats all.
imo, at least on TVN24 (private polish news tv), Russians arent blamed.
edit:
about 88 passangers died plus the crew, so it is 96 ppl
its (...) sad
and true.

Hazo - I dont think anyone with good mental state blame Russians, and dont bother with Fala - as he is the one who showed arrogance in here.
You mentioning the Tbilisi incident is kinda in place. When I heard those shocking news this morning, it was one of things I thought could happend - pilot being under some kind of direct or indirect pressure to get vip's into place of destination within given timeframe in order to avoid delaying Katyn ceremonies.
The pilot from Tbilisi you mentioned - quited his job after that affair, as a sign of protest btw.
Anyway those are just pure speculations, and whatever the reason was its still simply sad. Russian goverment and public reaction is very kind. Im also nicely suprised by Brazilian goverment reaction.
and dont bother with Fala - as he is the one who showed arrogance in here.
by taking the neutral position? thats something new
its neutral as hell

"Jestem naprawde zniesmaczony Twoja osoba."
Dude has some right, now Kaczynski is polish hero who died in tradegy,
but 70% of Poland hated him when he was still alive.
Ohh irony. I pity the passangers, kaczynski was wanker.
