3x3 = 9 4x4= 16 16+9 = 25 sqaure root of 25 is 5

sriam.. if you wanna learn this theorem easly, just learn the pythagoraeans numbers :
3 4 5
6 8 10 ( multiple of 2 )
etc

That means if the cathetuses are 3 and 4, the hypotenuse is 5. This way you don't have to make any calculation.
