hi dear quakers i bought new graphic card somedays ago..gigabyte hd6850 1gb 256bit gddr5 i give it 179$ for good resulation:D nvm my problem is about FPS on counter strike source old graphic card 9600 gt and i got 140 160 180 fps but on this max 120 and alternate 80-120 its interesting i tried all ways but doesnt work dont know why ..and shitty ati catalyst center and i talked other guys with same graphic card they got 350 fps... i want this fps too...

the first question [maybe rhetorical as well] did you updated your drivers to latest version? Same with your ingame settings?
the second question is about viruses or your installed programs, maybe you have some kind of virus or some of programs make it?

hmm maybe this- in ccc try on(or off) A.I. function, this is for use more cpu less gfx something like that.

are you stuck @120fps stable max?
what kind of monitor are you using? (crt, lcd? refresh rate?)

edit: k bit drunk sry, if ur framerate ain't consistent then it might be driver related or some shit (happens with ATI... LOL)

ps: try messing around with the CCC, might help

formatted pc no virus latest version ...doesnt work but my cpu intel this card amd maybe this problem dont know fucking... card on single games very good but online ..Confused

intel works with amd gpu good, tested

I also have fps drop in q3 although rest games works fine on max settings. thought it was amd gpu drivers problem but woth nvidia videocard situation was the same. looks like sometimes there is something supernatural that doesn't let U to play with max comfort
