Hey guys,
I've got a problem with my new Logitech G5. When I play it sometimes shoots automatically without breaking, then I click one time and it stops autoshooting. The other thing, I can't shoot sometimes.
I think it's because of my USB, it's just 1.1 and not 2.0.
I also tried an adapter from USB to PS/2 but then the mouse doesn't work.
So someone told me in the shoutbox to update the Logitech SetPoint. So I updatet it to version 3.0.107.
The mouse works better now, but not without any Problems.
So, what else can I do now, to destry the bug? Pls help...

Maybe this will help you, at least it describes exactly the same problem.

There is no solution for this bug,and afaik, its a general quake [or e+] bug and it also happens to me on mx510,but tbh, once in every 2-3 weeks. So what u can do in theory is only decrease the time it will happen in the game.On other mouses u can do it by decreasing USB ports rate,to 125 or 250 Hz.But for G5 its not recommendable or maybe even not possible, since g5 operates on default 500Hz.So,I think all u can do is experiment with drivers.Consider a new mbo as well, which will hopefuly have better solved USB then your current one.

Ok, thanks a lot.
This bug REALLY sucks. I buy a mouse for 50€ and then it doesn't work correctly... Sad
A new Mainboard is no good idea, because my PC isn't good at all. So, before I buy a new MB I'm sure that i'll buy a new PC Happy

Back to topic: One more thing that I tried o fix the bug is installing a Usb 2.0 PCI-Card. But I didn't find the correct Driver... In advice-manager it's "Via Rev 5 or higher".

I've got one more idea. Did someone try to reinstall Q3 and E+? Maybe then the it works. Don't know... I'm trying everything atm...
