Problem with ping

My friend has stupid ping problem, when he join any server he can play for about 5 minutes with good ping, and them it jump to 500~. Only one server where he is able to play is polandamg, so we thought it may be, problem only with non-polish servers, but it's not true. On aim+ the same problem, few minutes playable and then ping jump to 500~.

Any ideas what is that?

He probably tryed rate and snaps?

Ye, its not cuz of snaps/rate and anything like that.

Problem with ping

One time it happend something like that , but i didn't had the firewall activated ,
I was on Berlin Tdm playing e5 and suddently my loss started to grow until i had 70% and then the ping started to grow also to 300 .Then i didn't waited anymore i've minimazed my q3 and tryed a page like google.com .. And it worked fine so i wondered what if i open my firewall (it was disabled)? I've done it and the ping was ok now but i had a little loss 15% and i thought that's because of the firewall so i disabled again and my loss/ping didn't bothered me again ..

I don't know if that help but it helped me then ..
BTW my firewall is Zone Alarm Pro (it has antivirus and other stuffs too)
