Some ppl only need quake in thier lives as thier gaming addction, but what if you didnt have the internet, it wouldnt be much of a game then...in fact it would kinda suck. I play console games as an escape, to induldge in a story or what have you, quake has no real story when your playing online, its just a fragfest. The ppl you talk to are real gamers which is awsome, but i like storys too. And new ideas to play games. I personally feel that developers for console games, like mgs, and final fantasy, really put thier heart into every aspect of thier games, thats why the storys for them rock. I haven't played many games on pc that have had storys and unique ideas that have entertained me, like games ive played on consoles. Even the many mmos ive played on pc, thie storys arent very indulging or like the mmorpg's, in which the stroy adapts on how the gamers of the worlds play, ect. Its nice to play a good solo game. And as for fps games on consoles, all i need to say is 'Goldeneye 64'.

Ps. My pc id say is around the average spec these days. If was to upgrade my pc to the standard I'd want, to play the next gen pc games, at a level id be satified with, for example games like crysis (search the game in googe to see what i mean) with all settings at high, I mean it would probably cost me about as much as a ps3 anyway, not 200 quid. My 6600gt 256mb ddr3 ram was like £120 alone, A card to play crysis, at a satisfactory level would still be alot more expensive than this, and the games not out till next year. Then theres taking in account id a new proceessor, new mobo, ect. Pc's are expensive too...
