heiho guys..
i dunno, and have no just to search..
maybe the question/suggestion is older.
what would u think if the e+ with bro/nhl cfg comes to esl?
in germany a tv station wanna have new titles in esl league so
maybe u have some ideas, lets hear.
imo it would be nice for e+ to have more response by those things..

No doubt it would be nice but there won't be many guys from out of e+ who'll be interested in it. Moreover E+ is too abstract for TV etc..i mean it's a mod for a game which is lot of years old..moreover there are 1000 people maximum playing? And of them there are maybe 300 good/serious players...maybe 500 but that's not the point: i think that's just too less dudes.
Though it's worse a try...so gogo, send them mail.

edit: btw it's kind of "pr0" game...either you are into it or not..if not you won't have many fun watching it..you more get impressed when you know what's needed to play it that good. In addition it's not that "eye-candy" if you see some dude playin on tv with picmip 10/low detail/r_mode 3/cg_drawgun 0

there ur right, for sure its old and not best grafik for our time,
the thingie with picmip is not relevant coz if u spec u can show it with "best" q3 grafik ;} but about this most players or tv watchers have no idea what they see^^
most time u see fast move and this with too fast frags,
very nasty for normal eyes^^but anyway it is sport, e+sport
u can be a master and imo it is much better then cs..
like what u have to learn to beat the real nasty guys in 1v1, tdm or freeze.:edit: so u have much more eyes on this game/mod,
and for sure the comu can become much bigger coz that

about the graphic and gameplay: i think its more exciting to watch a quake match then a counterstrike match and the q3 graphic is imo much better then cs. Dunno much about cs since hl 2 came out is there a special cs mod for hl2,too. If it is the graphic might be much better.Anyway to watch a cs game is very boring imo all thi camping hiding crouching all the time isnt an eyecatcher at all.
So why dont we give e+ a chance

1. we already had a thread about this...
2. q3 is short to die in esl
3. e+ is too unpopular
4. e+ is a funmod. many even don't have original q3. but u need an original q3 in th esl
5. e+ would become too serious then, it shoudl stay fun and not only competition!
6. someone can search the old thread, i can't find it atm?

considering this mod is small, it would have to be a 1v1 league as people wouldn't want to make this more serious than it is (as opinions are stated above)

maybe the game gets more popular again and a few new ones start to play
the grafik is no problem, because the spectator can turn it to maximum and other very popular games like cs, are very old, too and have shit grafiks

In my opinion E+ can't be at ESL. This mod requires skill for sure, but it's not a competition mod. Moreover, just have a look at how many gather there are for the most populars q3 mod : cpma and OSP, not much if none ...
