Q3 E+ Cellshading
hmm....enemys they too far away, become to dark.
the outlines are too strong.
i think its useless but seems to be interesting

What i'd really like to see, is q3 with bump mapping. I mean, heh, [...] there's a project for that already? Anyone knows anything?
Chili Quake XXL, formerly Quake 2005 Revolution, is a High Definition Graphics Update for Id Softwares Quake 3 Arena.
It includes some new models, new textures, and also new shaders.
It utilizes the evolution q3 engine ( http://evolution.quakedev.com/ ) , so pixel and vertex shaders are also supported, and they are already in use.
It also includes some high resoluted weapon textures from Destroyer.
The goal of Chili Quake XXL is to make Q3A look like a nextgen game while maintaining the compatibility to the original Q3A and its mods, and its original style.Note to the Installation: You have to install Chili Quake XXL in an own directory (e.g. C:\Programs\Chil Quake XXL), and then you must copy the pak0.pk3 file from your previous original Q3 installation in the baseq3 folder there.
PS: You will need a realy strong computer to play it smoothly Wink ;\)
Note: You MUST have a 3D accelerator wich supports Pixel-Shader.

And no, i wasn't thinking about it as "default" graphical option, more of something toggleable, or at least, E+ having support for it so you can play with it on pure servers.

yeh the normal cellshading is good... but i cant read anything in the console... its all blurred.
yo explo, try using the white cell shading the brightness will leave you permanently blind
