q3 error

I have a problem, my q3 is shuting down all the time.. I had about 3 months ago broken RAM which couse same thing. With new RAMs now I've reinstalled q3, e+ and its the same.. problem with aplication "don't send", i hope u know what i mean xD What can it be? It's not about background processes cuz i've checked it.. My pk3 files are copied from old catalog.

Mouse: Logitech mx518

Headphones: Sennheiser HD202

q3 error

i have this same problem . if i try to play normal q3, or excessive it will crash either whilst opening, or after a few minutes of playing.
i also cannot open q3 normaly anymore, i MUST connect using other methods such as qconnect or ase which allow me to use it as normal.
i did nothing to cause this, i have my q3 folder on my drive, and i havent touched it. it was working 6 months ago, i could open quake3.exe and it would open normaly etc.
when i try now it opens with what appears to be a standard cfg, so my resolution is wrong. and before it can get to the main menu it closes cause its generated errors... i have tried removing all q3config.cfg and autoexecs. my last guess would be to completly reinstall.(copy the same folder i currently have, from my backup made ages ago when it was workin.) although i probably wont bother untill i need to. for now i only need what i have.
ps.auto download is off. i have no extra pk3 files that i didn't have before.

q3 error

Hey

Check your Sound & Grafik Drivers
Reinstall the Quake
Test 2 have only 1 CFG in the folder not 30 or something Happy

I had the same problem looong time ago, but after checking theese thing i nver had the same problem again. Good Luck

well i have many cfgs, will try cleaning the folder.

q3 error

I had that problem, and still sometimes do... but I can relate it to my computer overheating... I can't have room heating in computer room, because then my computer gets heated easily, and then I get only error reports, and eventually a bsod... Turning off heat in my room helped that xD

Seebz my friend,you need some fan's in your Computer (or watercooling) Winking

Playing with a jacket and gloves in winter could not be very comfortable Big grin
