quake III problems

at first hello @ all
today i installed my q3 new cause it had too much problems 
so, the only to two things, i installed more where pointrelease 1.32 and 1.03 e+ mod. but if i want to connect with the internet, i just find 6 servers and no server shows up in the list, just on the ground it tells me that there are 6 servers-i dont see the name of them, and if i want to connect, it tells me, that the server uses protocol 68 (but i have latest point release).
so, what can i do, pls help
hmm, now i find servers, can connect, and when i shot someone, i go spec mode?

if its teling u that servers u try to connect uses protocol 68 that means u dont have propertly instaled pr 1.32 or its not instaled at all
when u were kicked on spectator whan u kill or u was killed u do must update yors punk buster
u should check it http://forums.excessiveplus.net/viewtopic.php?t=4002
its look like u dont have propertly pr 1.32 so that why u seeing "that much of servers" and couse of that u cant connect to them

try command in console /cl_maxpackets 100 or 120
and /com_maxfps 85
but when u install point release there are no pk3 files with it or ? i thought u must get them somewhere else and put them in then.
if that all doesnt work i think ur pc lags then, check about trojans and all stuff perhaps something uses ur ram or cpu,
and when all doesnt work format pc and reinstall all + quake + pk3's + e+ and try it but dont think that it would help much, but better trying then doing nothing

the pb, and the graphic card, cause i play on laptop and i had to update (i think this was problem-dont really know, but it works now)

lol i like your view on these stuff like 90% of your answers are like "format pc, reinstall everything". lol you remind me of when i used to take my computer to be fixed when i was a kid just because i would forget my windows password or something and they would just format everything and i would lose my thousands of mp3s and get mad

maxpackets & maxfps variant for everyone; Its not general settings.
