Re: quake on xbox?

What would you suggest ultra apart from buying this maybe quake live? i think it might help rekindle a new quake community. however ofc it could not.

if you were referring to the fact that owning an xbox makes me bind to my purchases, i assure you I'm not like that. which is why i have this thread. Big grin

because of the power of most xbox's, ok not like actual computers, the game would look and feel great it gives people more opportunity to play quake without have to go to QL which i don't think reflects the true feeling of the original quake. also potentially this could have a bigger player base then live because of the amount of people that have xbox's however i fear the lack of advertisement will kill it. but even without multiplay i would like to see the new single player stuff Happy

why don't you think this will work? is this just a kind of eww its a xbox thing going on. because yes i truly get that as well, i hardly play my xbox because computers are just better, I'm sure any computer gamers would agree. But i think the xbox could do quake alotta good.

I had a look on Google search i turns out you can use a mouse and keyboard with xbox.

Which is why some people on xbox seem to be so good because their not limited by their controllers. also great for quake. Winking

however the price seems a little dear at £60 however I'm sure owning everyone on xbox live would be fun knowing you had the unfair advantage (for a while at least). Big grin

sorry meteor, it's just that majority of people get attracted by new shiny stuff too easy, f.e. QL and they are thinking/saying it's the best game ever, after some time now you can see the same people saying it sucks... this is not good, that is not good, it's just like that, people want to be in the middle of the happening and good folks at ID know how to sell hair gell to the bald.

I don't say you shouldn't buy that, buy it, it may be real great to play. have fun.

np i understand i get like that when everyone goes an buys blackopps when i don't see much difference from mw2 and i don't understand why they buy but they do Sad. however quake is a game i would support (apart from quakewars which was shit Tongue) but not the idea of reselling re-branded goods. i just look forward to the possibility of new quake communities opening up which as for todays outlook seems rare.
