Quake probleme

hi all,
I'd play quake this morning but when i've loaded quake it has reset all. I've lost my configuration, my sensitivity, my tag : all.
can some help me ?

what for a OS have u?
make a new cfg, than rename it to "autoexec.cfg" and put it to the following folders: baseq3 and excessiveplus. q3 will load every time the autoexec.cfg

My help:
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ATLEAST 1 BACKUP OFF CONFIG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he mean --> u must always have a backup from your good cfg (configfile).

Tu ne retrouveras pas ta config', à l'avenir mets ton fichier config' en lecture seule pour éviter sa modification par le jeu.
Translation : You will not recover you config', next time put your config' file read-only to avoid it modification by the game.

i didn't knew we can make one, what is the command ?it's mean i will never have again my cfg ?

u don't need a command to make a new cfg, just delete the cfg from your baseq3 folder and when u load q3 it will create a new 1. than u can open it with WordPad and can make all the changes u want -> than u must test it!! and if all is fine u must make a backup from it -> than rename your cfg to "autoexec.cfg"

now make sure you e-mail yourself with that config so you have a backup !
