rail shoot ping (NOBODY CAN ANSWER PLEASE DO SMTH!)
Hellow if someone know i want to ask can i make so that in normal e5 server cfg if i will do nothing with server cfg but do smth with my cfg so that rail will shoot not in the moment when i press thee batton on the mouse but some (very small) time later.
well what is the exact problem?
you dont like it unlagged? unlagged is a server side setting, so you have to change the cfg.
client side if you want to simulate a ping, well thats a tough one.
for getting delayed shooting of rail u should get a +attack bind with a wait value ;o

try reading what hes asking for before suggesting stupid stuff lol

go reading man
he actually asked, how to modify rail that it isnt shooting in the moment he press the button!
This is the weirdest thing anyone has asked for, here, ever. I'm having a hard time figuring how would that be even useful, more so, on E5, where rail is a novelty weapon.

that would actually affect ALL weapons not only rail.
I'm with Mad on this one, weirdest thing evah o.O

just if u always use the same button
or dont change the bind with switching weapons
(it would be like bind e "weapon 4; bind mouse 1 +attack" or something like that)
btw, there is a command wich can do that very easy:
cg_railtrailtime 0
edit: i think i got the sense, its about to let rail and mg shoot simultaniously?
railtrailtime only affects the time the rail trails stay visual, it doesnt affect the fire response time of the rail. No?
That's right.
I still don't get it. Way i see it, he wants to artificially make his rail shots lag, not only the visuals, but also the actual hitscan time. On unlagged, it's impossible to do it, the best you can get is make your client lag more than it should, with nudge or something, but you can't make the server think you fired your shot later than you did.
Unless, you want to make your rail actually SHOOT later, not the game register the shot time later, in this case you must use a script with the wait command, like Skull wrote.
I still can't understand how would that be useful in any way. ;E
On unlagged, it's impossible to do it
Nahh i dont think it's impossible, just undiscovered, and seeing as its a pretty useless, (IMO) feature, nobody will do research to find a way...
to back up my argument about it being possible, just look at the mg and plasma for example - they have to travel through the air before reaching the enemy and therefore have a slight delay...maybe if you modify the characteristics of these - experimenting with projectile speed and damages, you can emulate the stuff you intend to find
