I was answering original post from kraster, who asks with the main objective of winning money... not such a good idea to go into a casino to win money.. what makes this scenario worse is if you win first time playing, you will be back for the reason you first came in - that reason does not change.
some can be strong, take fixed amount into the establishment and follow the guidlines that they have laid down for themselves and enjoy the thrill of teh chase, Trance is one example of this.
others get greedy or needy and this is what is prayed on by the casinos.
here is gambling in a nutshell.

in the lottery, (cant remember but something like 64,000,000 - 1 chance of matching all 6 numbers) so the odds are so great that one week there are no winners, so next week the pot rolls over and is doubled. what do people do? they invest extra stake into the game. buying double the tickets because the jackpot hasnt been won. noone wins, so lets buy more tickets <--- funny shit huh.

Imo you need to decide between casino gambling and other gambling (sports betting e.g.).
Anyway, when i started it was very fast clear that Casino Gambling is ONLY luck...pure luck. You can't play better or worse than another player sitting right next to you on the table. That's why because there is always the same chance for everybody on every bet they made. The most common mistake of players is that they think there is a certain chain of chances. Like if there was 3 times red, it's more probably to turn out black next time. But that is absolutly fraud, just mistake done by the not-logical parts of our brain. So to sum up, it is actually possible to win on gambling. Why not, i mean that's why it's gambling. But on the long turn, the chance to step away with positive result is =0 because the chances on the table are just that bad.
Anyway, still people (like trance obviously) can win if they get lucky. On the other hand, that so called Martingale strategy, doubling or tripling a bet everytime one loses is like 10000 years old and was proven wrong by every possible experts.
