Sad song !
what is sad for me is maybe not the sad for you.... this song is very sad for me =(
Read and think you all young people ...some of us have our life in past...you have in front of you..
you can do almost all you want of you'r life...but it doesn't come to you...you must do it yourself
it maybe cost some sweat and tears ...but it is worth it ..
this lucy jordan didnt do a thing..she had her dreams about her life..one day she is old and nothing in
her life is what she dreamt of........so think all ..do not only dream ..i did..and i am a bit like lucy jordan....
but i will not kill myself as she did .........

Marianne Faithfull - The Ballad Of Lucy Jordan
The morning sun touched lightly on the eyes of Lucy Jordan
In a white suburban bedroom in a white suburban town
As she lay there ‘neath the covers dreaming of a thousand lovers
Till the world turned to orange and the room went spinning round

At the age of thirty-seven she realised she’d never
Ride through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in her hair
So she let the phone keep ringing and she sat there softly singing
Little nursery rhymes she’d memorised in her daddy’s easy chair

Her husband, he’s off to work and the kids are off to school
And there are, oh, so many ways for her to spend the day
She could clean the house for hours or rearrange the flowers
Or run naked through the shady street screaming all the way

At the age of thirty-seven she realised she’d never
Ride through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in her hair
So she let the phone keep ringing as she sat there softly singing
Pretty nursery rhymes she’d memorised in her daddy’s easy chair

The evening sun touched gently on the eyes of Lucy Jordan
On the roof top where she climbed when all the laughter grew too loud
And she bowed and curtsied to the man who reached and offered her his hand
And he led her down to the long white car that waited past the crowd

At the age of thirty-seven she knew she’d found forever
As she rode along through Paris with the warm wind in her hair

Ahh Mona. That is a sad song. I suppose sadness is relative to us. It depends on our situations/experiences in life. For Lucy Jordan--regret.
But, I think we all have regrets in our lives. It's part of human nature. As is the sadness and loss of love for example. But it is better to risk and gain and even lose love, then to go through life without. It is an ongoing search...Do not dwell on regret in love or life.

Ok, I will get off my soapbox now... Winking

Soundgarden - Down on the Upside - 16 - Boot camp.mp3

I must obey the rules
I must be tame and cool
No staring at the clouds
I must stay on the ground
In clusters of the mice
The smoke is in our eyes
Like babies on display
Like angels in a cage
I must be pure and true
I must contain my views
There must be something else
There must be something good
Far away
