Haha. This isn't exactly the original intent of the thread, but hey, free promotion is the best kind of promotion Cool

I recently made this song.It is from naruto anime series and I really liked this melody so I made this song using my midi keyboard and virtual instruments.

I can not really describe how much does this melody represent me these days and how much can I identify myself with it.Its a sweet melody with a bitterness in it. (and the whole recording procedure was a pain since I am not skilled and if I make one mistake I record it again and again,part to part).I hope you like it :}

@NECROGEDDON [E+]
wow nice work you have.I am going to listen more carefully when I have the time.hehe
@ARASHIAV * BBSQUAD
so you know GuitarPro too ha? Wink Why do not you use RSE and then Record the realistic guitar with an mp3 recorder so you make a mp3 instead of midi?
Good job btw Very Happy

That is so awesome. I saw the episode with this playing after Nejis fight and ever since I just loved it as one of my favourite tracks ever, so incredibly strong. I rewatched it over and over and over, played it a little on my guitar (wish I had a midi keyboard too though) and tried to find it, but the song I found on the soundtrack CD was different with violin - still amazing but I wanted this version too, so all thumbs up man.

So true, so true. I'd say a bitter melody with sweetness/hope in it Happy Hard to squeeze this much emotion into a song but there are lots of tracks in the Naruto soundtrack that are crazy good so they've got some invaluable talent there. Hoping for more epic stuff to show up in Shippuuden, though on a sidenote I think the intro song kicks ass Big grin Makes me smile every time hehe.

Inspiring, inspiring. Think I might give covering something a shot.

@*TORZEL[A]N.SWE*

I am really glad that you like it and especially you share the same thoughts with me ^^ .Naruto OST simply rocks and I also wanted to make a cover of the main theme but I do not have vsti with electric guitars (only Steinbergs Virtual Guitarist that plays ready samples and does not let you play what you want) so I decided to cover this wonderful melody Winking

Yes,there IS that hope element,something that even though you may find it sad it leaves you with a smile.From the shipunden I've heard some new cool songs and I also like the intro Winking

Whatever.In general I like to listen to melodic metal music ,for example nightwish ,blind guardian but also more extreme like cradle of filth finntroll etc. some techno and classic music.
I LOVE the violin sound.I wish I could play real violin but it is soooo difficult Sad.Well,now I am going to upload my first mp3 song I made.Forgive my mistakes,It was my first attempt.Just listen the violin.You may think it is a real violin Winking

Song: Cradle Of Filth :Fear of the Dark the Violin Part about 1:30 mins

Yea violins works really well to "fake", the only thing to be careful with is the vibrato and I never really found out how to automate the modwheel hehe... Need to check that out some day. I did a very very short test (it's not a song that I know of atleast), in the test zip.

Electric guitars on the other hand, just impossible to emulate Big grin Best I ever heard was S.S.H's tracks but you can still clearly hear that it's not real... My personal best result (also in the test zip) with the infamous Slayer plugin I thought turned out kinda cool and while several people I sent it to were fooled I don't really think most people should mistake it, especially not real guitarists... It's also not a real song, just something I whipped up to test.

I also have a work in progress, a remix of an NES song in the game Journey to Silius, midi doesn't sound exactly like the NES chip of course but it was the closest to the original I could find and I included it in the WIP zip. Listen to that first Happy

Making my version a lot darker and ambient basically, just listen. But since it's far from finished it's not mastered or anything so it's extremely low, turn the volume up a LOT to hear it well. The more the better it sounds I think Happy Put some effort into making it not distort anywhere so pushing the volume is shouldn't be a problem. The first "hits" should make a little earthquake in your headset/speakers Big grin

Unfortunately when I formatted a _lot_ of shit stopped working and I haven't got it to work again yet, I think I might aswell reinstall everything, salvage as much as I can of the track and then repair/add/continue on it...

(Some have heard all these already, just adding for everyone else x))
