the ultimate windos os

win me, is NOT the worst os micrsoft has made, (that'll go for win 98 ) it's the fastest at shutting down and booting up, but other than that, the only reason everyone is on win xp is cuz of it's plug-n-play technology, plus the fact u dont need drivers for the goddamn mouse ...I very much disagree,because Microsoft has set very strange default values for some things in XP,like for example "WaittoKillApptime" or the wait time to kill (end) a application so u have to tweak most of the stuff yourself,if u were a XP user u would know that there are millions of tweaks out there that can be done for XP,and by doing most of them xp will be at least 5 times faster then that piece of crap Millenium...and PnP is not the only reason beelieve me...its about software/hardware compatibility,stability and yes I am also gonna say speed.And since we're allready talking about speed Windows 98 second edition is/was the fastest of them all.
yea but i am a win XP user and yea XP is faster than win ME IF you have the right hardware, for ppl like zeke(soz dude just usin u as an example ) win 98/ME would be the best road to go, and for ppl who wouldnt kno what they were doing, yea we know the worst that could happen is havin to format the damn thing(and i know all about that) but yea i agree with teh
"WaittoKillApptime" or the wait time to kill (end) a application
that is a load of bull, but it's better than the damn blue error screen
(which they replace with the infamous
)
but anyway and the stability is sh*t in XP, always hangin unlike ME which aint as bad but, ME is on the the fastest Win os's for bootin up and shutting down,

I can assure u the only times I have seen BSODs was on XP SP1 when the Infinite Loop problem was quite fresh and ppl didnt find a solution,ofc later the solution was found for that too,so I ran SP1 for a very long time with no problems at all,and then SP2 also without BSODs if we dont count BSODs when u overdue it with overclocking And I dont have a mean badass system like some ppl,its average...as for the hanging of certain programs,its due to the programs themselves,not the windows os...

Like I said above,never hanged for me...except when overclocking 2 much or having some shit programs that are beta release...but only the programs hang..if u remmember in older OS-s like 98 when a program crashed it most of the time crashed your whole system,and that is not the case in XP,at least for me.And I have a friend,neighbour who had the ME OS and he was calling me every 2-3 days that something is wrong with his system...when he finnaly listened to me,I put XP for him,and solved his problems...and he had a pretty old and slow system (celeron 700 or sometn)...
