... about clans

I only would like to get rid of some few thoughts which I deal sometimes with.
Excessive Plus has many, many clans. But only few which are in fact active. And so i wonder about it, why some people found clans although they do not have the possibility or the interest to build up the clan on a serious way.
Maybe some founders believe, it is enough, to do a fabulous clan name and write in the Shoutbox "POO-Clan is looking for members, if u r skilled, please mail me..." In my opinion such procedure has never been successfull, yet. Founding a clan is now not enough as an individual person.
I remember the time, when e5 and pants puked me on and I have dared my first steps on the bro.cfg. The first few times i wasn't much happy to play on bro.cfg. For e5 conditions the bro.cfg is very much slow (gamespeed, switchtime). But the more often e5 made me sick, the more often I have tried bro. And when I had the first success experiences, i began to like bro increasingly better and some time I only played bro and stoped e5.
Piece for piece I learned to know people in Bro and i built up friendship-similar relations. But something still not satisfied me, I was a player without clan in BRO. EN as a clan, which would play never "browars", therefore i was forced to become totally inactive in EN.
I thought about that, whether I should join now a clan, or whether I should make an own clan. I decided for founding an own clan. HoX (c) (Heyday of Excessive) was born. In spite of two fabulous servers and some other efforts nobody was willed to join "Hox". And finally I joined Lemon and HoX was forgotten for now.
Although there were many fabulous and nice people in Lemon, I never became satisfied in Lemon. I had always the need to found a own clan. So i left Lemon again, but it still made me sick, to c others on clans, playing wars, having trains, and i just jump clanless on servers.
I was addicted after clanwars and could play none.
In the meantime I had become acquainted with people more and more. I managed many very well, and with many others i feeled, i will never come close to them (relationship).
So, around to statisfy myself i had no other choise to try to found my own new clan again.
But I did not want to be again as unsuccessful as the last try before. Therefore I needed people who were ready to support me. I found these people in EN. Xtermy, Harry aka Silence, Secrect aka KillingBaby and Chrono. We 5 together found 2!Sweet on my initiative.
We began on the servers to be present and to wake the interest of the people, and wonder there, not long lasted until we had the first prospective interests.
We had some people in the clan, with very different attitudes and I had noticed that would not go well on the long sight. Some member's became dissatisfied, and other had to leave the clan unfortunately in order to hold the climate well in 2!S.
After the member adjustment new people had again the interest in to join 2!S and so we have now the clan, with people that suit in general well. However, that does not protect 100 % against further problems which we did not have up to now.
The contentment in the clan was achieved through good, mutual communication, and because I assess character as more important as skill.
In my opinion, it is to build up a stable clan at first and if that is reached, you can look out for success. In our training we talk now a lot about tactics and Teamplay and become from now on more successful piece for piece.
My final point is now, a quick idea doesn't leads to the wanted success. To have a good server does not mean, to have success automatically. It is very important to have some players which ware very active on servers, and if it are just 3 or 4, or would you join a clan, which u have never seen on server and u don't know them at all because they even dont play or just play with fakenick? It is in addition important to look at the needs of your members and to respond to that, otherwise you lose the respect of the members quickly.
So, this are just my thoughts and i hope, some people can find help in it and that some others have additional thinkings or critics.

Anyway, i wholeheartingly agree. It makes me laugh when i see ppl who think 10 minutes in qname are enough to make a clan. A real, good clan is a combination many little details that only when working in harmony can provide results.

nice mow, I think we have the same vision of the clan,
I wanna just add something important in recruitement, your period tryout time is good and to don't know ppl and recruit them only for skills is bad
the most important in a clan is to get a friendship
cos when no real friendship they can leave the clan for an other opportunity and that sucks too much
so when a player wanna join a clan, he has to do it convinced it would be the last he would join :roll:
thats going back to being loyal and such though ali.... people join clans to be with them forever coz they think being loyal is the right thing, others like to move up the food chain and spend 3months in each clan... getting better all the time.
i don't find it fun to play with bad players coz they disapoint me if they don't thaw quick enough, or if their mouse shakes, or if they shoot at walls...
playing with better people is more fun because everybody enjoys winning, i know i do.......
i dont mind losing but ofcourse i'd prefer to win
so back to the point, ye, also lots of people making clans just for fun.. or for 2 or 3 people who know each other in real life............ others are just there dreaming about becoming the new KO or something lol
that is a nice thread , put in this way as mow did it.it becomes very clear that starting a clan is easy , making it live long is damn hard. it is like putting up a company, u can fail if u dont gather with the good pple fast.
all is important , wining and feeling good to play/work together.
imo performance is very important , as if it is not there , it can undermine other strong points of clan.so a winning strategy has to be put in place.
we have been here more than a year now.we arnt the oldest of clans,like wasp or other clans known here, but we might be more and more recognized as we keep in the game more and more.
concretly ,it goes like this : we are meeting everyday on msn (throught group sessions ) .keeping contact daily , on hellknights.com (through forums and shoutbox there ...we dont use E+ site a lot .. except me), and the day when i cant be as available as i am now, i will give my position to another HK player who can keep the same bounds btw players , and keep them always , in the game , uptodate ,and in a winning spirit.
i say it is hard to keep the flame alive.but when it is , omg , it is damn nice.

Am i the only one who thinks this thread should be made sticky in teams & clans subforum?
what i forgott, but what is very important in my eyes.
It is important to keep the clan active. A single clanleader wont be able to be really active all the time. It is good to share responsibility in clan.
For example, 2!S Structure:
1 x Leader
2 x Co-Leader
3 x Trainers
1 = responsible for everthing
2 = Responsible for everything if they decide together
3 = arranging wars and trains
(Other Details are just clanintern).
But that helps a lot, to get not overworked with clan, and if there will come a period where i have 0 time, i can be sure, that the clan will roll on even without me.
